This is Joey Lore, Ariel Lore's new step-brother. He is eighteen and a senior in high school. I want whoever plays him to feel free to make him be interested in anything, really. Except drugs, alcohol, and partying- he hates that stuff. When he goes to college you can have him major in whatever you'd like, and feel free to pair him with a girlfriend. He's heterosexual but that's just because that works for him.
His relationship with Ariel is tough one and I have a basic plot line that I'd like you to follow. :3
His mom married Ariel's dad one year ago and he was pretty psyched to get a new dad and step-sister. He quickly grew to care for Ariel and even though she pushes him away a lot, he still tries his best to become friends with her. He knows that Ariel had always wanted an older brother to protect her so her cold behavior towards him confuses him. He kind of understands Ariel's feelings about her parents' divorce and the new marriage, but he understandably gets upset when she takes it out on his mom.
They've never really had a deep, open conversation so Joey isn't really sure why Ariel is the way she is. I'd like for them to eventually have one where she opens up and tells Joey how she feels about everything and why.
Ariel will act close to him sometimes but other times will act like she can't stand him. I'm leaving it up to you to decide if Joey continues to try and get close to Ariel or if he just ends up giving up.
